Back compartment rattles annoying

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

This may seem like a very minor issue but I am starting to get really irritated with a rattling noise that comes from the back compartment of my 2004 350Z Enthusiast.
I get a rattling sound that sounds like coins or keys jangling whenever I go over minor bumps in the road. Not really loud but enough to be annoying once you hear it.
As far as I can tell it seems to come from either the stabilizer bar or the hatch.
Has anyone encountered such sounds? If it is a problem with the stabilizer maybe I can get that fixed.
The noise is definitely not from anything in the compartments behind the seats as I emptied those out.
I am at the embarrasing point of asking a friend to drive me around while I lay in the back to pinpoint this irritating noise.
Thanks.

Yeah mine rattles too...but in my case it seems to be the hatch, not the stabilizer bar. Have you checked your Spare Tire Compartment. I had a flat tire recently and when I put the tools back in they weren't replaced properly, causing one of the peices to come loose and "jingle" around in the Spare Tire well. Might want to check that. If you are sure it is coming from the stabilizer bar, I don't know what to tell you. My rattles are more like creaks than coins or keys.

i see this thread as an opportunity to pimp my car. look, it's my trunk (if you can call it that)!!!
and here's a story...
so i bought some rims recently and put them on myself. i'm driving around afterwards and hear what sounds like the tire scraping on something. the new rims/tires are larger so i wouldn't have been too surprised if they were. a couple days goes by and i can't pinpoint where the sound is and i can't for the life of me find anything rubbing.
my last resort is to take the tire off and inspect it. when i'm taking the lugs off they seem a little loose, like they could use some tightening. so i take the tire off and look around. still can't don't see anything that would rub. i put the tire back on and tighten the lugs.
i get in and drive around the block and THE SOUND IS GONE!!!! the fricken lugs weren't tightened. never would have thought it would make that noise.
confession over. enjoy my hatch.

Justin...what is the Z logo on the back of your passenger seat. My Z does not have that. Was that a factory option or an aftermarket installment.
And your hatch is very clean. My cat pooped in the back of my Z...what an annoying little furball...I love her still though. Needless to say, she does not ride in my car anymore. I was takin her to the vet that day...ahh it pissed me off so much riding home with the window open so the smell of cat poop did not permeate everything in the car...
I just realized if I ever tried to sell my car to any of you guys (which I won't), for those that read this I just totally lowered the value of my car.....damn.

lol cats suck.
that z on the seat is part of the cargo convenience package. it's a little thing that fits on the back of the seat you can put things in.
it's not quite that clean anymore. that picture was taken a few days after i bought it.

Justin, it looks good!

CantZmee, usually the Z comes with that seat thingy. Its attaches to the back of the seat for storage of cd's, small stuff. I don't use mine, Its still in package too.
I got that and the net, both unopened, hell, I still have my price/specs sticker.
I plan to keep my Z for a longtime, how about you guys?
