You do understand that he is building your engine so that it good for that kind of power IF you also add the forced induction to get it to that power.

lol, yeah, most people probably thought he was gonna make 1200hp naturally aspirated .

I have to throw this in, because it's important to cover all the bases. If you add aftermarket FI, there is a huge associated cost. Your car is going to be harder to sell, you won't recoup the outlay, the engine will not last as long (even factory TTs don't last as long as N/As), there is a risk of blowing the block, and money to cover repairs or failures in the system, which are now much more likely.
In other words, "affording" an $8K turbo system means you probably need to set aside up to $15K or so for possible maintenance and parts. Most people cannot afford to play that kind of "turbo game", so I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, only the die-hard who can afford it.
My turbos are entering the end of their lifetime. I'm looking at $2.5K for new turbos plus probably $500-$750 to replace them. That is $3K I need to pay for the replacement. Your stock clutch will need replacing very quickly too, another $750, and most turbo kits do not include that. It begins to add up.
Instead of recommending to everyone they buy a turbo system, I would suggest that it may be more rewarding to pay for $2K in fun upgrades like intake, suspension, exhaust, etc.
Just my $0.02, take it or leave it.

i agree with z32dood... not to mention any self respecting turbo owner is also going to need to upgrade brakes, tires, suspension, exhaust, etc...
i think i'd rather do everything else first and then if i can still afford it/want it get the turbo.

Agreed it is expensvie. As I have often posted. And there is risk to any high performance even if you leave the car stock and run it hard. And I have to do mine a little at a time as well. So I hear you. I try to give people info and accurate as I can and let them make up their own minds. But a wide diversity of opinions is what a forum is all about, are it not? And some of us are pro forced induction and we should be allowed to be heard. And you are welcome to disagree but I never try to tell people who want to stay stock or near stock that they should not be heard. At least not except maybe in a joking way now and again. I try to be considerate of the opinions of others and I like the same in return.
Actually in my post I did point out to some who may not know the expense of all this by saying the expense of the engine build is just the beginning and you have to add all the other stuff to really get the power.

Hey Z1 ZONLY, I hear you, but you would be amazed at how often things just like that have been misunderstood on this website. You have people here of all technical levels from pretty advanced to base beginners. Many people have gotten mad about something and come to find out it is because they themselves do not know the difference between wheel and engine hp. Something as basic as that.

Right on, right on, just funny to read at first glance. No harm intended.
