Nismo Rims.

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hi Guys, I want to replace my 2006 OEM rims with the silver Nismo rims. I posted this a while back and someone said the original Potenza tires that came on my Z would not be compatible?? This car has only 500 miles on it. Is this true? Can anyone shed some light on this? I am hesitant to make the change. Thanks, Pete

pete if you have the oem 18in wheels on all 4 corners they are 8in front and 8.5 rears. the Nismos are 8.5 front and 9.5 rears, the reccomended tire sizes for the Nismos are 245 fronts and 275 rears. what size tires are on the OEM wheels? probably something like 235 fronts and 255 rears which in that case im not quite sure if you would want to stretch the tire that much. However i guess you could use the rear tires for the front Nismos and just have to buy rears. If you can give us the oem tire sizes im sure somebody can tell you for certain

Why not?
I think they look pretty good.
These are mine.
By the way, I went from 225/45R18s (Front) 245/45R18s (Rear) to 245/40R18 (Front) 275/40R18s.
The OEMs will fit but they won't look right since the NISMO rims are a little wider. Thats why they recommend that you use 245s for the fronts and 275s for the rears.

what kind of rim is on the back? looks different than the front.. or am i imagining things?

I agree with you JT.
When I need to replace my rear tires and I think I am going buy the Nismos all the way around!
I think they balance out the look of the Z without going over the edge.

Yeah they're alright, I just think they're too plain. I mean, you could get some nicer wheels for what NISMO's cost.
But that's just my opinion.

They're the same just a little more deep dish than the fronts.
Here's another pic.

i think they look great, they are a bit plain but it's a classy plain look. I don;t think the pictures really do them justice though. Not to mention they may be a bit plain but its a damn good wheel, they only weigh about 18lbs. They also come in 19's too which would make them look a little less stock.

Those rims look nice without it looking like too after market is guess but I like the look of deep dish rims in the back with either 9.5 or 10's like a Chicago Style Gino's east pizza. I think it makes the Z look more muscular IMO. Just my two cents for what it's worth.
