A&Q about 350Z

hello. i'm an experienced Z car enthusiast with a few questions about the 350. i've owned four z31's, two turbo's, two n/a, and a 83 280ZX n/a.....
i recently put a deposit down on the 350Z, an 03 model at the local nissan dealship.
when i took it out for a test drive, i found it to be a bit lack luster. maybe its the fact that i'm still used to my 86 turbo 5 speed......i was running 13 psi non intercooled with a 1/4 of 14 seconds and trap speed of 99mph.
i'm thinking maybe the new Z is just much smoother, maybe the poer delivery isnt shitty below 3000 rpm and explosive above 3000rpm, as it is in my 300zx? *shrugs* so either way, i've got about 220 horse to the ground, right? i suppose thats fun.
i've been toying with the idea of methanol injection or nitrous. obviously nitrous will be more bang, but for more buck too.
i'm wondering what type of nitrous shot i can/should add to
the motor. i'd be going wet, as this is the only way to go. any problems associated with nitrous in the VQ motor? would a 100 shot tear up the stock clutch or would it be fine?
i know all about nitrous, all about motors, etc etc- i'm just wondering if there is anything in particular i should know about this motor.

If you just want big power go get a 2006 Saleen Mustang with 425 hp for about $31K and it will blow the doors off any NA 350Z.

are you pressed for cash, if not i would look into a super/turbo charger instead of nos, just due to the ill effect nos has-or long term effects i should say, but thats just me.
as for nitrous, i think you would want a wet kit and around a 75 shot to get the job done for a stock car.

yes, i am a little strapped for cash, i mean i make good money for a 21 year old guy and i have no bills- but i'm going into the air force soon, so my pay will go down.
i'm wondering if this particular motor has say forged pistons, or a tendency for the skirts to snap off or if its particularly pissy as far as detonation goes. basically i'm asking: "i'm putting nitrous on my new Z, anything in particular i should know about?"
and yes i know turbo/superchargers are the way to go, but this way, when i want the power, its there. otherwise, it's not. after owning a turbo z31 with mild modifications, i even found the 350z's power to be a tad lackluster, which is why i'm asking about a cheap boost.
