A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hi everyone,
This is my first post although I've been reading and using this forum for almost 6 months now. I have a 2003 Track. I think everyone is great and this is a great resource for answers, which leads me to this:
In about 2 weeks I am going to order and have installed at my local dealer the following:
Vortech Supercharger (was going to go APS TT but being not CARB rules it out because I live in California)
Top Speed High Capacity Cooling Oil Pan (for the Vortech w/ in and out lines already in place)
Nismo Cat-Back Exhaust
Stillen Oil Cooler Kit
OEM 2005 Track Lower Intake Plenum Manifold
DC Sports Ceramic Headers (CARB approved)
Denso Iridium Spark Plug 1-Step Colder Heat Range
I believe with talking to the dealer and friends, I should have everything covered. My budget is about 10K and all the items above with installation will put me into the 8-9K range.
Is there anything else that I can install? I don't want to change out the internals since I am not going to produce the boost of a TT. I will be installing the Nismo S-Tune suspension with the sway bars at a later time. I the only other modifications I had done was change the rotors to cross-drilled Stoptech rotors with upgraded pads (forgot the brand) and currently have a JWT popcharger. I want more power without effecting too much the longevity (I know forced induction will reduce the life of my engine) and also remain CARB legal for smog test requirements. If you guys have any other suggestions or have a comment on my planned installation, please let me know. Any input is appreciated, good and bad.
Thanks!

i would say do something with the fuel system... because from what i understand (mostly from More Powers posts, and some from research) the Z doesn't do much good with fuel past 300 HP... i'm almost positive that the supercharger alone is going to stick you into the 300+ range... so an upgraded fuel system looks like a must... but i guess i'll wait and see...

i think it would be a good idea maybe not necessary to get larger injectors... but if the APS kit comes with a particular CC injector i would dafinately look into that... but definately ask an experienced mechanic before buying anything... and one that's not just trying to spend your money...
