ok so my friend is looking into getting a rx7 hes talking to this guy over the internet here are the emails. I knowyall have a pretty good eye for catching scammers what do u think. He said if he did buy it he would want the pinkslip before he put in a payment.

If he's good tracking the IP is impossible. If the IP you're talking about is in the E-Mail it's totally useless, they are way to easy to fake. Here are the totally obvious clues that its a scam:

Just because you can drive it in the us doesn't mean it can easily be driven in Canada, although its usually pretty easy to get a legal registration in Canada for cars originally destined for the US.

For the really clueless this doesn't work, car would need to have Greecian (I hope I have that right) title and registration.

If you live in the US you won't ship cars between Europe and the US often, this gets expensive fast. Proof to support the a statement above is false.

If this is the case he should have sold the car in Greece and gotten more money out of it. If he has a job that sends him overseas like this he obviously makes some money, who cares if he loses his house. Ignore statements like this, they are intended to get you to make a decision very quickly and emotionally so that you send money without thinking, instead of slowly and logically where you think the decision through.

This is pure lunacy. Shipping and insurance can cost $2000 on up and nobody I know wants to willingly deal with customs. He will lose a lot of money on the deal if this is real.
I suggest the two of you get some real world experience, this scam is way to easy to spot. I knew it was a scam after reading the first line. Always inspect the car personally, always speak with the owner of the car, and always have the car checked out.

View email headers, report to ISP... No doubt he lives somewhere random tho and you can never catch them as the laws in their country are sh!thouse and they dont recognize USA laws.

Can you say ENGRISH? How about, he needs money, but is offering to pay the shipping and insurance on something he's already selling cheap? The shipping alone would cost him what the car is worth. Also, services like Yahoo! and Hotmail are impossible to track the sender from. You can log in from anywhere. Hell I have an email address from Lycos UK. It was the first to offer a 1G mailbox so I signed up from the US.

If your friend honestly thought this was for real, and didn't know it was a scamm 100% when he got that email do me a favor. Let him know I have a 1967 pontiac GTO in perfect condition with only 30k on the clock. It's absolutely perfect but since I need money I'm willing to sell it to him for only $3,000.00. I'll even setup the deal to go through a third party escrow website that I setup myself (just like the other seller did) and I'll even ship the car to him for free anywhere in the world. I'll even throw in two round trip tickets to iraq for him.
