Of course this was back when it was still being listed in the "NADA Guide" as a late model used car!
Ended up selling it and buying some firebird with three duces---the front and rear carbs where blocked off with galvanized sheetmetal and sealed with ROOFING TAR! "Ate too much gas" was the P.O. reasoning for doing such a hideous act. Think that one was a 68 Firebird.
Everybody had Pontiacs there....typing teacher was a Pontiac Dealer out of his house, and the Spanish Teacher was always driving a new Corvette (convertible as long as they were offered!)
Aaaah, the old days.
