Q:
Just got a 73 240Z. I believe the block number is P30 and has a E31 on the head. It's got the dual webers with a automatic transmission. It burns oil and the motor and head need to be rebuilt. Is that a good combination to keep? I also have in my garage a F54 motor and P79 head out of a non turbo 83ZX. The ZX motor ran great before it was removed, then placed in my garage. Not sure which would be the best set-up for my Z. It's just my let's have fun car. thank you for any help

you have a very good combination in your 73'z, p30 & e31, but yea, put the 280zx f54 block with the 240z e31 head, big time compression...
