Q:
Game on: Nissan's Urge concept car is a convertible in the true sense of the word. It can not only convert from a coupe to a convertible but also from a real car into a simulator.

For all of those that were bitchin about the "retro" look of the domestic cars..............There you go, you should love the Nissan.
Black, bumperless, 78 Z with MSA superturbo system, K/N cone filter, ported intake, and exhaust manifolds.....15.9 @87 mph.

it's not really a question of whether it will make production or not, becuase obviously in it's concept form it won't. The idea with concept cars is to gauge reaction and to incorporate certain features and design cues into later models. I personally like it, I think it's a very creative concept. If it were to be produced in some form it would need to be in the 20k range, to appeal to a younger crowd. It certainly would not be anywhere near 40k.

just FYI all:
The target audence is people who are 12-18ish now and are buying first cars in early-mid 2010.
The target price is ~20,000USD
its supposed to look dangerous and 'Xtreem' to young people and safe to old people so parrents will help their kids buy it.
the vent looking thing in the door (in the yellow part) are windows (for your feet?). The door doesnt actually start until above the yellow part.
it is a concept car but they said the style is 90% fixed and it WILL come out 2010.
the hood and windshield are a solid piece of glass (yep glass hood), though this is subject to change.
the inspiratioin is from videogames and motor cycles
Nissan has lost their F*ing minds.
god i hope they decide not to make this car.

just won the "most fun" designation from autoweek. At least it's getting attention, and seems to be hitting at the intended market
