not really fair to comapir the two, since i dont need to consume 20 gallons of nyquil to get to work each week. (although that might make it more tolerable haha)

For sure. Doesn't make a lot of sense to compare any of those things to gas considering nearly all of them are immensely more difficult to produce. How many of the others (besides water) are produced in the quantity that fossil fuels are? Which of the others is merely refined and then transported in barrels? "That's not even apples and oranges, it's apples and peanuts."
