Q:
On friday i lost control of my precious zcar while making a left turn. It had rained earlier that night and as i was making a left turn i lost it. It fishtailed and while i was trying to recover it, it spun around the other way and ran into a curb. i destroyed the left front suspension and bent the frame. Luckily no one was hurt. I was the only one in the car and i have no side affects from the accident (whiplash, brusied muscles, etc..).
The sad story now is that i must get rid of zcar and get a new car. While i was wanting a new car recently i didnt want to have to get rid of my z altogether. One day i WILL get another z, but for now it looks like im assed out. ill still visit the forums every now and then and still go to the shows. :sigh:

no those were from the other time i hit a curb. That was more of a durect hit. It can be fixed, but last time it ended up costing me about 4 grand to fix it. The spring rate is 250 on the rears and i have about 4 month old BFG g-force sport tires. Im going to most likely part it out. There is a very very slight chance that i will get another one and just switch over some of the parts, but i need to see if i can get another z. there arent really to many to choose from in the classifies and not to many people have gotten back to me about the ones that are in there.
we will see...

Sorry to hear that.
I killed a orange 75 Honda CVCC that way in the snow. Did not see the hidden curb under the snow...I cracked the unibody around the firewall. Whole front of the the car way out of whack, steering wheel was all over the place after the hit.
Good luck

I almost had the same encounter this past Sunday on a cruise with my club. I was hitting the twisties a little too fast and was making a right hand turn and my camber is off on the left tire and started to over-cook the turn and there was an oncoming car. I accidentally locked up the tires and started to slide towards the car and I had the wheel cut to turn but to no avail, it was sliding straight. Then at the last moment brain kicked in and told me to let off the brake and let the tires do their job and steer. Suprise, they worked! I was freaked out and I'm sure the oncoming car was also, I'm just happy I was able to react quickly as I did and recover from the impending collision.
Oh yeah, sorry about your ride man hope you can recover to another Z soon.
