Project Exotic Killer almost done!

So we finally got the 85 300 zx turbo back from our fabricator and we are doing some final tuning before heading off to the dyno.
Here is what we finally have finished on the car
Japan spec vg30det (internally stock)
cobra mass air conversion
JWT computer
550 injectors
r200 clutchtype lsd
custom rear crossmember bushings (solid aluminum)
s13 hub conversion
stoptech big brakes
tein superdamper coilovers
sparco seats
schroth harness
custom roll cage
custom exhaust
quick change oil filter set-up (filter relocated to firewall)
trust oil cooler
custum radiator
dual spal fans
custom radiator hard pipes
new intercooler piping

and more but I can't remember the rest.
We wanted to build a car that will eat all the uber expensive exotics for under 20 grand. As soon as i have decent pics, I'll post along with dyno results.

Wow, so your car is going to go over 200 mph? Thats impressive...
I am sure you will top out somewhere around 145 or so which isnt even close to any exotics.

The s13 hub conversion was done so the big brake kit for a 240sx could be used. They're isn't a big brake upgrade avail for the 85.
Hey 240zcar,
"exotic killer" is a colorful description of this particular z that has a lot of trick stuff done to it. Obviously, with a 337 rear end, there is no way for the car to have a high top mile per hour. If you happen to be going light to light against a ferrari or something similar, you won't be going 200 mph anyway.
How about a "sounds cool" or "nice work" or even better, don't bother posting if you are going to be an a$$hole.

Yes I did forgett o mention nice car and job on the setup! I was just making fun at the exotic car comment.
Most of the exotic cars I have seen run 11's in the 1/4 and are not slouches stop light to stop light either.
I dont consider the new Z06 Corvette an exotic but it will do the 1/4 in mid 11's and high 10's with drag radials so more power to you if you can beat it.

we can. When this car is finished being tuned, it'll be in the 11.1-10.6 range (street tires 11.1 10s w/ slicks. The guy who owns the car also has a 2006 viper. Without tuning, the Z walked all over it on the street (and short bursts on the freeway). I know this is true because i was the one in the viper getting my a$$ handed to me :-)

Myself and a few otherers are patiently awaiting your dyno results.
You mentioned stock internals on your engine in original post so we are curious how much over the stock engines 255 hp you expect to go with these 10 second 1/4 mile times.
If that 2006 stock Viper got walked over by this Z then the driver of the Viper obviously missed a shift or didnt have a clue how to race someone.

Like I said, it was ME driving the viper and i didn't miss a shift. We were doing 65 on the freeway (side by side) and I honked to a count of three. On three, we both floored it. I got the jump, but once the turbo spooled up, he had half a car on me (i was still in fourth gear) I shifted into fifth (correctly) and started to catch up a little. As i did, he shifted to fifth and walked away to a full car lead (maybe a little more). By now, i was going about 125 or so and since it was my second time driving his car, i let off. If it had kept going (full top speed) obviously the viper would win. This was just a quick little roll on drag race on the freeway for fun.
As far as horsepower figures-the car has the jimwolf 450hp computer in it so we expect numbers around there.
Also, the 10 second pass is what we expect the car to do. We have no data to show that this is what the car will do. But I'd be suprised if it didn't.
I am working on getting some video of the car as well as pictures. Is there a way to post video on zcar?

You were in 5th going 125? You should still be in 4th going 125 otherwise you shifted way too soon and thats why he got the 1 car on you. you should be winding out 4th to at least 145 if not more.
It also sounds like you were in 4th when you started the race at 65 if im reading it correctly above. If that is so you should have been in 3rd at 65 and wound it out. Lemme run my 06 stock Viper against this other car and i guarantee id whoop him.
