The stupidness of the gauges impresses me even more than the stupidness of the body. Goes through the trouble of getting white face gauges then he slaps a GIANT black tachometer on the dash. And evidently knowing his battery voltage is VERY important.

Firstly, one of the ugliest mods I have ever seen. The 300ZX in my opinion is the best looking japanese car ever and he has ruined one.
Secondly, I don't know what a 300ZX is worth in the US, but he would never get that price down under for a non-turbo, even with the original body. With the Star Trek body kit, he would get much less.
Thirdly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. (Some guys probably think your girlfriend/wife is pig-ugly.) He clearly loves the car. I feel very sorry for him. He will probably be very upset to see his baby go.

Looks and cars are very subjective.
I think my 280Z is the most beautiful on earth. My siblings makes fun of me and said the 240/280 Z's rear looks like a Ford Pinto and would never drive that "thing."
I don't agree with the outcome of that posted 300ZX. I'd probably laugh if I see it in real life. But if that car make the new owner happy, then that's all that matters.
My 280Z is what makes ME happy, I really don't care about anyone else's.

Damn, lunchbox you're right! It's uncanny, I can barely tell a difference. I should have just bought a POS economy car instead of 300zx. I'm sure I would get just as many compliments about a saturn if I bought one. Hell, I could sell my car and get at least 5 Saturns, they go for what, about $500-1000.
