Ok the thread on the patches on a jacket idea got pulled - Im not trying to start that up - but it got me thinking.
I too have patches and some pins but does anyone know if someone has come up with a reference book on them.
As in anything there would be a lot of collector interest on clothing, accessories and the like.
So anyone know or want to start?
I'd like to know when some of the different patches were used.

I've just noticed a third veriation on the Datsun rampant lion crest patch.
I know someone on here has a Ist gen 300ZX patch (never seen one on eBay and would love to get one) has the car silhouette.
I wonder if there is 2nd gen 300ZX patch?
Anyway, if you know let me know. If you don't, like the rest of us, just post your opinion anyway.
BTW - I'm putting my collection of patches on jackets: I'm at the old fart age where I don't impress anybody so I feel I can do what I want.

You know what would be pretty cool (and i should do) if u guys have patches ...get a plain beanie ( since your old no offensie you would call it a tobagan lol) but just sew the patch on the front i would wear a z hat like all the time if i had one (if you do that make sure you stitch the sides down)

Yes, it is a red border, with the well known "Datsun Lion" passive on a checkerboard picnic cloth with some wine and cheese displayed in the foreground, against a pink background and a Grey "Z" in the diiiiiiiiiistant back...
