Q:
i just got a set of used toyota 4x4 calipers and i plan on painting them red. i already know to use high temp paint after a thorough cleaning and degreasing, but should i bother using primer or just go straight to paint?

Why don't you just paint the car the color of the calipers and you won't have to worry about it! Haha.
Actually, I'd like to know as well, as I may be painting my calipers (I have the same thing but I bought the 4runner/vented disc kit from MSA).
God must love stupid people, he made SOOOOO many of them!

dupli-color makes some excellent caliper paint. all you have to do is apply 2 or 3 coats. no primer needed. i'm sure that with any high temp paint, you won't need a primer.
