Hello, I got my car undercoated couple days ago, but they oversprayed onto my exhaust. It looks ugly, you can see it from the back. How would I go about taking it off? Will paint thinner work? can i scrap it off?

There is a product made by Autobody Master called wax and grease remover. Its part numbet is 5900. It is about $16 a gallon. I get it at O'Reilley's here in Tulsa. It is great stuff to have in a garage. It is supposed to be used for a wipe down before you spray your car but I use it on everything. I think it would remove the undercoating if it is not too thick. I think paint thinner would work too if you have any laying around.Good luck.

when I get it on my hands the best stuff I found was gas.. should work on your exhaust too.. just make sure your in a well ventalated area and wipe it off before you drive.. carb cleaner would proably work as well

Repeat this to the people who did the undercoating:
" hi, I noticed there was some overspray on my exahust - would you guys please remove that for me."
"We don't usually do that."
Response:
"you apply this stuff all the time and you know what it is based on and what will remove it. I paid to have my undercarriage undercoated, not my mufflers. You either remove it gently and with no dame to my mufflers or I can take it to a professional who can and I will just pass the bill on to you."
Don't me afraid to complain and have them fix their mistake. If they wont and they get upset - that is them being asses - it has nothing to do with you. And it is worth the time - your time is more important to you than they think it is.
