All these cars i would never think of owning, Mazda rotory crap, i dont even consider it a car with that unefficent, nobody will work on, no parts POS, Lexus will never be exciting, mercedes will never be exciting either, yuppy trash, porsche uhh i dont like the styling, and Mitsubishi, one word eclipse.. if any one could show me a good example of one of these cars it would be weired i highly doubt it , and please no McLaren crap that car sucks flat out.............

I had an eclipse, it was a nice fun car. Blind spot and turning radius sucked though. Obviously I like the z much more, but it wasn't what I would consider a bad car or anything. Why do you hate these makers? Have you driven and owned them before?

Yea, I am at a loss here. He stated his opinion about why he did not like the calls and you called him a moron bacause your opinion differed?
And to counter your opinion (though I will not call you an idiot) on a few;
While AMG does make very fast cars of the quick Mercedes - they do not make their styling very exciting.
Lexus really can not be described as exciting - the LS400 was described as remote and tomblike on first entry to the market.
I could go on, but they are really just my opinions with some references to others that agree with me.
PS I love the Mcclaren but it is now 10 years old - still the 2nd fastest road going car in the world but it is completely dominated by the Bugatti Veyron now. Of course the Veyron is more expensive to buy and it cost nearly 8 times the saling price to make.

The Lexus is a great car - just not very exciting. I am not sure what is up with their styling psychology. I love the look of the new GS or at least that rear 3/4 view now - looks mean and efficient but I thought the same thing about the first GS as well. Then after a few years they just looked ugly and boring.

Yeah the rotory is overrated, but otherwise Mazda makes solid cars. I like my moms protoge even if it is a slow little automatic 4-door, it looks pretty good and it's built pretty well. I'd take it over my Talon any day of the week, mainly because it's funner and easier to drive.
Lexus makes good cars
Mitsubishi, well lets just say they are the least reliable and worst put together of any of the big Japanese makes sold in the US. I have a Talon which is atleast half mitsubishi, and I do not like it. Ugly interior, awful turning radious, and its hard to see out of.
As for MB and Porsche, I'm not german or a yuppie therefor I dont care.

Blue, you don't know how many times I have pondered installing fog lights on my back bumper facing rearward to hint to drivers tailgating me or driving behind me with their brights on. Now that you made that statement, I may just do it!
I will have to agree with some posters on here. Datto, how can you list all those brands that you don't like...and not post a reason why?
I don't like Mitsubishi either, but it's because they have reliability issues. I've heard everything from electrical system issues to drivetrain issues (especially in the Eclipse GS-X and 3000Gts).
I strongly dislike Hyundais and Kias, for the same reason.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was illegal but, 1. So is tailgating (the call it 'following too closely' here in TN now) and, as much as I can't stand someone tailgating me and following me at night with brights on, if they were doing that, I wouldn't be concerned with the legality of it. I guarantee you that would make someone back off.
BUT, you could mount them in a fashion to where they could be 'backup lights' and hook them up to the reverse to prove that's what they are. he he he.

I am referring to a single extra bright "red light" that looks more like a 4th brake light. In Europe, you are supposed to turn that light on in foggy conditions to prevent pile ups.
See the extra light on the passenger side in the picture below... that is on and at that same brightness even when the brakes are off.

Nothing wrong with the rotary engine. The ones that fail quickly are the ones that weren't put together properly. In aus we have people running rotaries well past 150,000k's. And you cant complain with motor that can produce HP really damn easily (and dont start with the they have no torque crap).

I personally don't care for Mazda's, Mercedes are reliable, but have no ambitions of owning one, Porsche, a glorified VW, and Lexus is a really, really, REALLY nice Toyota, would own one. A couple of makes I will add to the list however: Hyundai, Kia, Saturn, Scion (ugly Toyota).

Wasn't going to bother posting towards this nonsense, but I guess I fell for it.
Mazda.. the miata alone is enough to give the maker some respect. The RX-7 series is one of a kind, and I'd own one before I knock them too much.
Lexus.. they do exactly what they are designed to do extremely well. Don't look for wild sportscars because you won't find any. But rock solid cars with UNmatched drivetrains on a world wide scale are plentiful. Just depends on what you are looking for. I have a LS400 [the tomb-like ones] and enjoy driving it very much. Runs 14's stock in the 1/4 and requires little upkeep. Makes you drive casually and stressfree.
Merc.. I admire their V12 models but would rather have a Lexus for the other ones. A deep automotive history with worldwide roots. Besides questionable reliabilty and rapidly changing designs, it is good at making the cars for the markets it wants a peice of.
Porsche.. nothing wrong with not liking how they look. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say very, very, very few people do not have at least a couple porsche models that they'd give an organ for. They have legendary racing capabilities and set THE benchmark in the sportscar world. How it compares to the 911 is everything.
Mitsu.. I don't particularly like them either, because their build quality is at the bottom of the bottom. I'd rank them higher than Kia or Hyundai, but those companies are moving up while Mitsu is on the brink [if not already declared it] of bankruptcy. Even with Mitsu, you must respect the EVO series and their impact on the spread of the jap sportscar in general.
Mclaren.. your comment leads me to believe you know little to nothing about this car. It was a no holds barred approach to perfection. Even the element of profit was thrown out the window, and it succeeded. If you ever get to see one of those incredible machines in person, rethink your position about them.
The fact we are even discussing these automakers means they have certainly accomplished something great. You can not like a particular manufacturer's products, but I'd at least give them a little respect.
