Well just an update he has e-mailed me and those of you who have read the previous one have probably figured out who it was. I'm pretty sure he has sent the diff. Tony called him and I'm sure if Tony says it was shipped it was shipped.

I'd just take his word for it, accept his offer for my money back & do business the next time. Foreign shipping isn't the same as here. No need to get your panties in a wad.

We are giving it a couple weeks then we are going to plan B and just refund and exchange if it's delivered.
I'm hoping he may be able to bring one with him to MSA and then we can just do the deal there.

tonyd just told me yesterday that we live in a modern age and international shipments are easier than ever. he also said that he ships and has stuff shipped internationally to him quickly and reliably. hell, judging from the latest ballance of trade numbers, this slacker is the ONLY one having trouble shipping to the USA! can we assume that you have a tracking number?
i agree with junkman, IF he offered to refund, THAT IS IMMEDIATE. take it. if you do not see paypal or similar money transfer by tonight, you've been had yet again.

anyway regardless of what we would do - this is kcobabes call and if he is satisfied with the results than we should be too. it sounds like he was able to work this out without hurting anyones feelings except those who chose to argue . i think that kcobabe and tonyd thru their actions on this matter have shown themselves to be men of integrity in their business dealings-- and in my book that goes a LONG ways. some of us could learn a great deal about honest business from this.
1. kcobabe asked for advice without trashing anyone
2. tonyd (who had given a reccomendation) when he found out took the inititive to contact the other party and inqiure to the statis.
3. the other party identified himself publicly and offered to make right.
all three of these people have shown themselves to be STAND UP guys when tensions ran high.
you can chose to ignore this but there are hugh valuable lessons to be learned from these guys actions.

I would agree that ten months is a long time but things to happen when international shipping is involved. The guy says publicly he'll make it right. Let's hope he does & when everything is said & done all will be satisfied. Also, half of the posts in both threads are people trying to start an argument with another. Give it a rest. I was interested in how things would end up in this situation but you have to sift through too many posts of childish banter. My God, I thought my ex-girlfriend was a stalker.

Realize that four months is how long it took me to get a Turbo Exhaust manifold to one of Franks' Friends in Holland. They were calling and I gave them the shipment date. We had just about wrote it off, and then Frank calls me and says "It Showed Up!"
When you realize that surface shipping can take almost 4 months INTHE BEST OF CIRCUMSTANCES, one lost part turns to 8 months lead time IMMEDIATELY!
Now, if you want to pay $450.00 shipping for a part you paid something like $150 or $250 for in the first place, you can AIR FREIGHT IT.
While it would get there quicker, AND HAVE TRACKING AVAILABLE (unlike Surface Post), I doubt many here would go that far---for that cost you could get a NEW R&P set from Nissan, and in this case, people are trying to cut their parts cost!
The tradeoff is it takes time!
BTW, a phone call is all it takes to have me make a phone call.
