How do you like that XTD clutch? Does it live up to the hype? I've still yet to put mine in. I'm waiting to do the 5 speed swap, and the clutch at the same time.

A:

I sold the XTD on ebay. The pressure plate was 2.5 lbs heavier than my other Luk Gold clutch, and the disk was 1.5lbs heavier. That Disk makes a BIG difference in mass. Yea, that XTD will hold the power, but I would not recomend it in a high reving NA motor, thats for sure.

Why wouldn't you recommend it for a high reving NA car? Too heavy? What did you get for yours, btw?

A:

I barely got 150.00 for mine. Yea, WAY too heavy for an all out race motor. The CENTRIPITAL force, not CENTRIFIGUL is too high with that clutch, atleast this is what I belived for my motor. My motor is built for 7800+ though.

A:

I don't understand, you're worried about the clutch exploding?
A:

Ok, that centripital force difference at a diamter of 240mm, being a pound makes a BIG difference on the tranny syncros. See a tranny syncro all it really does, is makes the driveshaft and the Clutch Disk rotate at the same rate, so basicly if your at 7000 RPM, and you slap second, you have to slow that disk WAY down, to exactly the rate of the Driveshaft, and if not, it will grind, or miss the shift.
Yea, it would work good for a motor, or for someone that doesnt want an ALL out motor, but I did, so Put it right back up on ebay.
