Having trouble seeing flash movies on Edmonds or Youtube? And you keep clicking on the 'get latest Flash player Active-x install' to no avail?
And when you do IE6 does not put a new installed object in the installed object folder? (Tools, options, settings, view objects)
The actual files for the flash player ActiveX control are in your Windows/system32/Macromed folder but do to a registry setting you will not be able to remove the folder since the flash9.ocx file is security proteced.
Use this tool to remove the Flash activeX control object and then reinstall it.

Thanks you SO much. This has been driving me nuts ever since I got a new laptop. I tried everything I could think of, but couldn't get flash movies to work. I followed the instructions and am now running fine.
