Nissan didn't develop that, they just paid someone to make it for them and put their name on it. That stuff was on Modern Marvels a while back in a special on paints. At least I think the whole show was on paints, if not, it was a segment at the end. Just seems Nissan was the first auto company who shelled out the bucks for it. Wouldn't it be nice if Nissan recalled all their cars and repainted them with this stuff :)

that before and after shot is pretty hard for me to believe. the flares from the sun didnt move between the pictures. Pretty weak even for a press release

Here's a thought, dont use car-washing machines... Oops, invention rendered useless. Paint for the lazy. It's common sense not to run your car thru them damn things if you value your paint job, or at least I thought it was.

What I would like to know is: does it cause problems when you try to touch up dings and chips? And is it more expensive to repair?
