its not anything new, but it is exciting when it hits mass market, i'm sure you could get huge amount of power out of that small little vw engine
250 with basic mods i would presume.
and yes fwd is no where near as much fun as rwd, but i'm sure someone else will make a rwd like that

They've managed to stumble on technology that's been around for decades now. I'd expect a lot more from German's. This has been around in diesels for quite a while now.

decades? yea, wwII aircraft and before. i think that they used to call it a "compound" engine. since it made piston engines using it so complicated that they eventual just got rid of the pistons altogether and called it a jet.
