Got first car at age 15.... now 49. Some of these cars I drove many years and miles. The old Mustangs were extremely reliable. All of them needed the timing chain replaced at one time though. Rust did most of them in.

Not much of a history, but then I guess I've stuck with what kept working:
1st Car: '68 Chevy Impala (327, 4-bbl)
2nd Car '66 Mustang Hdtp (200 Straight Six, Autolite 1-Barrel) piece of cake
to work on, rebuilt mechanicals and ran another 100K miles,
Car had 232,000 when it was totaled by an '86 Mustang passing
a dump truck in a no passing zone....Nice, spun me 180 deg. and
whacked the front frame to hell....no injuries, just bruises...
3rd Car '65 Mustang Conv. (289, all options, pony int, power top etc. Sold
it for a profit after deciding it was more resto. than I wanted
(and it was even a Texas car!)
4th Car '86 Chevy Cavalier...Good gas and go vehicle, ran to 124,000 then
totaled by a Toyota doing 60mph on a curved entrance ramp
to freeway. From a standstill, I was rear-ended and forced all
the way down the side of a city bus and left in front of it....
Good way to jamb up the ramp during Christmas holidays.
Driver seat collapsed backwards!!!! So other than dependable
it failed the crash test! (Whatever that means,LOL!)
5th Car '87 Buick Century....I'd buy another one; ran great and had only
few mechanical issues over those years. Sold it and was stolen
within a month.....anyone want to check and see if car-fax
showed anything since? (I sold it to a friend; just a tho't)
6th Vehicle: '88 Chevy Suburban Silv. (still own)
7th Vehicle: '87 Chevy Blazer K5 Silv.(still own)
Bikes? Only one...a '73 Yamaha RD250 (The trail bike "before" plastic fenders! haha...but had a blast in E.Texas with it when in school...)
Along the way:
'72 Olds Cutlass (Town Sedan 4-DR, the Nordic Blue, still own, needs some cosmetics, paint, glass re-sealed, left grille, but w/ orig wdw sticker, protecto-plate, still in the family since new...this is a cushy ride!)

in my mind.....besides it came to me w/o shopping; how could I
