i've seen people talking about hybrid turbo setups and stuff... what is that? and please don't flame, i dont know THAT much about cars

Anything hybrid is when you use components or whole drivetrains from another (non-Z) car and swap it into your car. V-8 swaps, T-4 turbo/intercooler swaps, V-6 swaps, and even V-tech Honda 4s all qualify.
Black, bumperless, 78 Z with MSA superturbo system, K/N cone filter, ported intake, and exhaust manifolds.....15.9 @87 mph.

hybrid turbos are a hybrid of one size turbo and another. Like the most common one is a t3/t04 hybrid. It has a T3 exhaust side (for quick spool-up) with a T04 intake compressor side (for massive airflow)
