Q:
I have been scamed on some struts.... I have the scammers emial, cell phone number (T-mobile provider) and PO box and I think his frist name. Is there any way to track him down to "show" him my point of view or at least throw some fines at him?
A:
unless you live close to him and can show up in person chalk it up to a loss. ive been burned a couple times and only once called i an favor fro ma group of old biker friends to go pay a guy a visit out of state for me because it was for quite a bit of money. they got it back for me no problem as 8 bikers showing up at his house im sure scared the hell out of him and his family and he gladly refunded the $$$.
A:
If you paid by credit card, call your card company & "dispute the charge". They'll send you a form where you state that the vendor didn't send merchandise or sent faulty product etc. Then you get your $$ back. Credit card throuth Pay Pal works the same way. Bank draft doesn't.
Anyone can drive a new car.
A:
You didnt send $ to a PO box did you? I would never trust anyone without some sort of real address.

Some very small towns have a central post office rather than a carrier taking mail to each individual house. Other than this, I wopuldn't trust someone who uses a P.O. box.....they're trying to hide something.

A "P.O. Box" should automatically raise an eyebrow.
All on-line stuff should be done by a a credit card, so you can dispute if a problem arise.
Demand a business/home land-line number and a physical address. Then do a "reverse directory" to see if it's legit.
ATT Reverse Directory
Type in their phone # to see if it matches the name. Doesn't work with cell number.....yet. Sorry.
Don't do business internationally. But if you have too, only deal with Allies of the United States (Japan, UK....maybe Canada ;) sorry Blue, had to throw that in....ha! ha! No shady countries which still use cows, goats, and beans as forms of currency.

why not canada? i've seen auctions that specify no canadian bidders. u k japan and even mexico bidders welcome but not canadian.can't be customs because they'll ship to mexico and it's like a third world country. maybe a bad experience with canada but that can happen in any country.
high on life

I was just joking with Canada.
...though a few of my comrades feel we should annex Canada as well
...again, just kidding :)

the answer lies not within the question but rather within the answer itself!

you can also try to contact the guys local police dept. they have resources available to them (like getting his addy from his cell provider). i got bruened once about 5 years ago for $80 - was buying a used stock replacement radio for my truck. i ended up looking his neighbors phone number up on whitepages.com then i called his nieghbor and pleaded my case. his neighbor then took his portable phone outside and went next door to talk to the guy on my behalf. he also gave me the guys home phone # that was written on his car (it was for sale) in front of his home. i called the cops and filed a report, i never heard much back from it tho, since i wasnt local, but @ least i let the guy know that the internet doesnt always provide a safety net. this wa sbefore i knew about that above link.
