being open wheel would sure make it easier to put snow chains on - as i sit looking out the window watching the first snow of this winter piling up on my zx out in the driveway. sigh! its a long time till spring.

Yeah, engines only last 1 race which is less than 500 miles.

I remember ( not well ) some early 1960's interview on TV with a then famous race car driver (who's name I do not remember) and at his home he had his winning (Le Mons) car mounted vertically on his wall as a piece of art.
A hundred thousand dollar car then would be worth a few million now and many pedigreed race cars are worth the over million mark.
He got a good deal even if he can't use it as an everyday driver. What? -you're going to pitch tents in the back yard to house the pit crew?
