Searching for info on 240Z race cars, I stumbled upon this site where someone wants to build a 200mph 240Z and this was the response he got — tell me this doesn't sound like Tony D:
"There's an unspoken rule of "Reasonable f*cking Goals" that you've missed, or maybe you just don't care per your above admittion of "lofty goals, but it's okay."
The dictum of RFG is to prevent asshats (you're not one, yet) coming on here and starting threads like (and if you search, you'll see them) "How to make mah 'stang handle like a Porsche, y0!", "Stang sus, y0", "Rockets b00sters in mah Ge0, y0" and, lest we forget, "The 200mph 240Z."
You do understand, that to push your car to 200 mph you're going to be breaching the bounds of the "Reasonable f*cking Goals" rule cited above, because going 150 MPH in a vintage Z car would scare a reasonable individual, 170 would probably make most people pass out from sheer horror and a 180 be retarded fast - I think you'd actually morph the space time continum. AND 200 mph would take a flux capacitor and 1.21 Gigawatts.

any car can be made to go 200mph+ , if you drop it from a great enough heigth to acheive maximum velocity!! haha

Though with 660HP and the #220 Car, I think 200 is a reasonable possibility.
Will be 22 mph short of a record, but I think we can do it if we use it as a test mule before building the ZX Car. If it can push "The Brick" through the 200 barrier, then a slippery ZX will be a snap...

1980 280zx with a mildly ported N47 maxima head, 60mm TB, -C- stamp 256 degree camshaft, and a 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust. yeah, its quick, and yeah, its a 2+2. NOW with MSandS_E power!
