A BETTER day in this Z Driver's Life (A Continuation with pics)

Q:

So I finally got my beater, it's a 1990 Ford Escort GT with 80k on it, all for 600 bucks. 5 speed, cruise control, no radio..I got what I payed for plus a bit more I think. Anyway, here's a pic of the front:
The Powerplant:
The Back (notice the tacky ass bumper sticker)
The Side (See the Z!)
Interior:
The Z, for old times:
All in all it's a good beater except for things like the parking brake not working but oh well, 600 dollar car with 600 dollar problems. Anyway, just thought i'd share.

Being from Ohio, and being a big OSU Buckeyes fan, I like the bumper sticker. Nice car BTW.
Black, bumperless, 78 Z with MSA superturbo system, K/N cone filter, ported intake, and exhaust manifolds.....15.9 @87 mph.

I used to have a 91 Escort GT had the 1.8L Mazda engine. Ran great the whole time I had it 90,000-150,000 miles. Only had to do the starter motor and standard tune up stuff to the engine. Oh and a clutch...buddy and I did it on the lift with air tools:).
Brakes & exhaust (Fuk Minake they use crap material) were always a sore spot though. Still good low cost of ownership in the long run. Front wheel drive, good snow tires and your set.

Nice score!!
I got a 92 stanza for a winter beater for $200, well, my unlce did and Ive been "borrowing" it ever since! When he bought it, it had a recently replaced clutch, 240,000 and was only on its 2nd owner!!! it also wouldnt go into reverse.
one day, i just forgot which car I was driving and tried to pop it in reverse and it went in. It took me a few seconds to realize what had just happened! been working fine ever since.
I *might* be trading the car + some cash for a 92 SE-R. I pray this guy will. the 4 door will be better for him (has a kid) and he really doesnt know what he has with the SE-R.
