At worse his 70 year old front beam snaps when reverse stressed in the spin, the frame digs into the lakebed, and he Endoes like 8 times, and then barrel rolls another 20 times and he ends up dead, like the guy did in July...
And two years ago the guy in the 57 Shoebox that was partially ejected (leg and arm) and ended up dead...
It really can get you killed. Sometimes parts fly off the course, and are never recovered. There was a wheel that came off in July that was going over 180mph off the end of the track, and out of site before anyone could geta heading on it to track it down---they never did find it from what I understand. There's a lot of nothing out there, you would think a black tire would stick out, but if nothing hit it or slowed it down, it's possible it went to the complete other end of the lake, and out the access road, off into the desert someplace!!!
The best you can hope for in some cases is the announcer saying "he's breathing on his own"...
