Does anyone know where the oil sending unit is on an S10 Blazer w/ Vortec motor?

I believe you will find it on the side of the engine block a couple of inches above the oil pan (common Chevy location). Not really sure which side, but my 88 Chevy conversion van was on drivers side in the middle of the block, about 2" up.
Black, bumperless, 78 Z with MSA superturbo system, K/N cone filter, ported intake, and exhaust manifolds.....15.9 @87 mph.
