my car(girlfriend's dad's car)= 1992 oldsmobile achieva scx 5 speed and new exhaust
other car = 1987 honda accord with mods:
picnic table spoiler,
fart can muffler,
about a 5 rattle can primer job,
cheap 20 dollar apc cone filter,
two 16 inch wheels on the back, regular steel wheels on the front and the custom bouncy lowered suspension,
the stereo system thats worth probably more than the car itself,
clear taillights
those horsepower raising stickers all over it that drops them 1/4 mile times
i about forgot about the spray painted hood to look like its carbon fiber
anyways i was driving along going to the store for drinks and the honda keeps riding up on my tail and revving up his (bee stuck in a can) motor. well i get tired of it so i drop it down a gear floor it, im doing about 75 to 80 mph and i can hear the honda giving it all its got. i beat him by maybe 12 car lengths. and by the way it was on a road that i mean you hardly ever see another driver and you can see about a mile down the road and there are no houses. flame me all you want but i had a big smile on my face

If the Olds Achieva has that 2.3 quad dohc engine, it is doable to beat the Honda.
1987 Honda however has a lackluster performance compared to 1991 or later models.
Now, if your Olds beat the Dodge Neon SRT-4 or Subaru WRX or Lancer EVO, THAT, would be a story!!!

The Olds 2.3L QUAD Four is awesome. I had one in a 95 Grand Am GT that would eat ricers all day long. Just don't work on it. Even something as simple as a thermostat is a pain on that car.
