Q:
The Ka24de I put in my 510 runs pretty well. I think it is running a little rich and it is hard to start. If I turn it over for a while it will usually start on the second crank and idle fine. I think I am missing some sort of signal from the ecu. If anyone can help with this it would be appreciated. But the main thing is, it does not smokw while running but if I let it sit and idle for a minute or so it will start to smoke oil smoke really bad. If I run it for a while it clears out till I idle again. Is this a ring thing or could it be some sort of crankcase vent problem or valve stem seal thing? Thanks in advance, Paul

The KA's are notorious for a few oil leaks. It is most likely a minor leak somewhere in the head that is causing her to smoke. Also watch out for the rear main seal leak.....
