Q:

Who else gets to go to work driving vintage Ferraris, Porsches, Alfa Romeos, Aston Martins, etc. He ALSO gets to go to Barret Jackson and touch all the classic muscle cars that come through...what a truly lovely live he must lead :)

I think he's an idiot. I watched him make a total bonehead move at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago when he dove under another driver and took them both out. Normally, that would be agressive racing, but not when you are both in 80 year old Bugatti's that are worth millions each and the race is merely a display of the most historic cars in the world, not a Saturday night roundy round race. He had no business driving like that in a car that he was given the chance to drive. Both car owners must have been sick. He didn't even sound appologetic about the move in the interview, he acted like it was his right to take the position away by force even though nobody cares who wins.

Actually, his move at Goodwood moved him up a few notches in my book. Prior to that I only knew him from his bizarrely smiling oddly gesticulating animatronic robot-like hosting of "Glory Days" or some other such programs on SpeedVision. Seeing that at Goodwood, I learned that he is a RACER. It was a bad move, but I can totally relate to it! I like to watch drivers actually competing at and beyond the limits rather than tooling around at 8 - 9/10ths in an exhibition "race".
You do old race cars a disservice driving them at less than your utmost. IMO!
