Q:

Well, I've been out of it lately, and incedently I picked up a new car. I've been selling a few parts from my Z to a friend, I've decided to hold off fixing her up until I move out. Last week I picked up a '89 240SX coupe shell for $400. Me and some friends are going to fix her up and as you can see do a few other things. My friend wrote the text and all . We have a small forum down here, and we're going to use this as the forum's project car!
Well here are the day pictures I just took not 30 minutes ago. Got alot of work to do.
Over all shots.
Oik oik pig-nose
She's not some pretty nice shoes. Wrapped in 205/50/15's. So I'm guessing 15x6.5 rims?
Some interior shots
I can see the ground....
I love this steering wheel!
Best shot.
Empty Engine Bay!
A few cracks and such that will be taken care of
Hole from previous SMIC
Evidently the hood was painted too, so that makes... 3 colors of exterior parts?
Tinted front windows, but no tint in the back lol
The money shot!
Alrighty now, plans are....
-Take off the pinstriping
-Take care of the little bumps and dings found around the car.
-Swap or buy a trunk lid with no spoiler
-
'Nuff said.
-Take care of cleaning up the engine bay[various welding and moving everything over =]
-50mm Wide body fenders
-S13 front end conversion w/ non-projector headlights
-CF Hood and trunk
-Clean styled body kit
-Remove backseat and mold interior to look like the wasn't one
-Possibly rollcage? But a very tight one, so it's not in the way
-Coilovers [need to find a brand in red]
-Possibly have the rims powdercoated a nice bronze/gold
-Overall paint scheme will be a very very dark color, with red accents. Still debating on the color, either: dark dark dark grey with a little, little amount of flake or gloss metallic black [always open for suggested colors.]
-Redo whole suspension, but not for a specific type of event, just for overall better handling, but not too aggressive.
This car will be as CLEAN as possible. Going for a car with working a/c and possibly at the end can be the JDMK show car? Doubt we'll get clean enough though. Let us know what ya'll think guys and we're always open for the suggestions!

Actually it's just a RHD S13 dash. The dashes in the 180SX, and Silvia are the same, unless you are lucky enough to get one that had the HUD....

I would look into an RB20DET for that puppy. you can get a front clip from Venus-Auto.com for $1200. everything you need, its a bolt in swap, with VERY little moding needed.
Ive always liked the coupe more than the hatch, for some reason..... I would keed the spoiler tho.
McAdam
1980 280zx with a mildly ported N47 maxima head, 60mm TB, -C- stamp 256 degree camshaft, and a 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust. yeah, its quick, and yeah, its a 2+2. NOW with MSandS_E power!

If you're going to do an RB swap, don't waste your time on the RB20....go for the 25 or 26, these motors are MONSTERS, especially compared to the RB20.....or you could do the SR20, you know the motor that is SUPPOSED to be in those cars.....

Actually I was just going to build up a KA24DE for her and strap on a turbo. Just goint to get around 400, that should be good enough for me. Possibly when I move out, I might get a motorcycle, mainly for the gas mileage, and just to have another thing to get around in and it won't take up that much space. I'll let ya'll know progress once she gets going!

I like the Z in the reflection better.
