I realize this is a vague, almost stupid question...but...
how much should i expect to get from a junkyard for a
van that i plan on junking? anybody ever junk a car?
how much did you get? i'm just trying to get a very rough idea.

Right now in NW Ohio, the auto scrap amount is $100 a ton, so a small van will bring about $200, while a large conversion van should yeild $250-$300. I scraped out a short wheelbase Dodge Caravan yesterday with many parts removed and got $150.
Black, bumperless, 78 Z with MSA superturbo system, K/N cone filter, ported intake, and exhaust manifolds.....15.9 @87 mph.

where I am you get practically nothing. I think I got 50 bucks for an older aerostar a few years back. It's my fault though, I just had too much going on at the time and probably could have sold it elsewhere.
I'm sure this varies highly depending on where you are, what you're scraping, how many yards there are around you, etc.

Normally around here......you pay 50.00 to have them tow to the yard, or you pull it, and leave the slip inside to the yard.

I towed the Caravan to the yard on my 2 wheeled car dolly to get that much. I imagine it would have only been half that much for them to pick it up.
