It is now snowing and snow is sticking to the ground in michigan. I feel bad for those of you who haven't stored your cars yet, and even worse that I have to live in a state where it snows. :(

Worse yet, a state that uses SALT.
The optomist has no brakes, the pessimist has no motor.
I need a good parts car.........

I live in NW Ohio (uses salt) and just have the Z parked in the garage for now. I will probably move it to the barn with a cover on it, and a small fan blowing underneath it in a coupla weeks when the snow comes and stays.

I'm holding out for one last rip before I put her down. Its gonna be a very busy winter between the Z and the 510 project. Winters in New England suck but since we cant drive our cars anyway, it gives us plenty of time to wrench without losing drive time. They salt the sheite out of our roads so even when the snow is gone, we wait till its rained a couple of times to wash away any salt mleft over.

I haven't stored mine yet, but I will be sto...oh wait, I live in Nashville where we get maybe two decent snows per year. Hooray for the South!!
Unless it costs a sh1tload more, why don't states use sand instead of salt? When I was an Army brat in Germany, that's what they used to de-ice the roads. And Germany knows a thing or two about snow and bad roads.
My Pathfinder came from Massachusetts and you can tell because there are a couple of fist sized holes rusted in the frame.
God must love stupid people, he made SOOOOO many of them!

I wish I had a heated garage to be able to work on my Z over the winter. It gets down to between 30 and 40 on the cold nights, which drains any enthusiasm I might have to work on it. Besides, since my garage is partially in the basement, I find it very humid in the winter and for that reason the Z gets wrapped in an air tight sleeping bag until spring :(

Salt solution will actually melt the ice and dry the road at or above about 20 degrees F., while sand will only provide traction on a slippery road, and leave the melting for the sun to do above 30 degrees F.

Just returned from the last blast of the season around town, pulled in the garage, closed the garage door and don't here any police sirens, so I guess it was a successful last ride!!

Well that Michigan snow yesterday took its toll. Last night I received a call from my son as he was leaving work near St. Claire, MI. He slid into the back of a SUV with the 90 Daytona I spent two years rebuilding for him. It is totaled but he is OK.
The project gave me great practice for the Z project I am currently doing.
Well at least I have pictures to remember it by. Another one bites the dust.
