As most of you on here know , my Z is not my daily driver.
For the past three years I have been lightening the chassis
and doing some slight performance mods.
Yesterday I walked out to my shop and saw that she is basically a survivor.
A pretty much bone stock 1980 coupe with 79,000 original miles.
Yup, I'm takin' her back to completely stock and restored condition.
Air, pwer, leather, recirculating ball and all.
God help me.......
PS. I still have nine sentras to beat the crap out of!!!
The optomist has no brakes, the pessimist has no motor.
I need a good parts car.........

I was hoping McAdam would chime in with:
" What's next, Pioneer plates and parades?"
Yup, and one of those big foam hands on the rear wiper
waving to the crowds.
I think it's time to go put a header on one of my sentras......

You have inspired me. I am currently restoring a 80ZX. I have been going back and forth deciding whether or not to customize the hell out of it or to keep the body and interior stock. I came across a great pictue of a 79 on Car Domain which reminded me how nice a stock ZX can look.
I have to admit I am using the interior and ALL the mechanical componants from a 82ZXT donor to restore it. The donor only has 100K on it.
This picture and your post convince me to go stock.
