Q:
I have had it with my stock efi system. can no longer tune due to too many engine mods. I plan on getting a MS system for my 1976 280z. I would like to know what sensors I need for my datsun before I make my order. I know I need coolant temp. air temp. wideband o2. Can I use stock datsun ignition? or do I have to use MSD? Any input is helpful. I don't want to spend money on the wrong equiptment.
Yup I found it in a junkyard and made it look Sweet ;-)

if you just want to run fuel you dont need to mess with the ignition. you dont need WBO2, but it would be nice.

They tell you what you pretty much need on the board and website. Are you going with #1 or #2. I'm going with the full engine control of #2. Still keeping the dizzy though.
Progress:
Z32 Had to sell for DD 06 Sentra :(
S30 one of these days I will get around to putting it all back together.

was thinking about #2 just for the fact of ignition control. I also want the wide o2 for tuning. I plan on getting a pallnet 60mmTB and lonewolf intake. This combination should bring my Z to life!!

FYI you can do ignition control with MS I with the MS n S Extra code quite nicely. In fact, i think that untill the MSII code gets more developed, MSI with the V3 PCB running on the Extra code is a more capable system. And when the MSII code catches up, you can swap just the processor at a small price, reload the software and your good to go. Bowling and Grippo (the MS inventors) are also working on a DIY wideband O2 system to interface with MS, so look for that in the future too as im sure it will keep with the MS tradition in being cheap, user friendly and very capable.
