I don't want to get technical about this but isn't it the software that has Easter eggs and cheat codes? Not computers. Sorry I am a software engineer and that stuck out to me.

I think BMW has the same sort of thing in the SMG equipped M3's....push certain buttons and flip the shifter paddles the right way to enable launch control.

Yeah, I was gonna say KTZed, I know BMW has it. It would be nice if they quit hiding the stuff and just gave us an on/off switch for the traction control and stability systems. Just put a disclaimer on the visor and let us have our fun!
'73 Turbo, not much stock. Sold now... :-(

I like my Z06. just push the button and go in comp mode with traction control off.

If your going to drive a sports car, why do you need traction control? Should you be driving a sports car if you can't handle it? Just a thought.

The BMW one is only on Euro software of the ECU (something like that, the US model can be reflashed to it).
It also has a counter for how many times it has been used. What I remember reading is that after a number of launches, your warranty is voided.

The E60 M5's launch control will fry the clutch only after 4 take offs.
They will not replace it under warranty either. The computer keeps track of how many times the launch control is used so they will know.
The F430 has a similar launch control system. Probably a similar replacement policy as well.
