General Chat
Q:
Decided to do it, so here are the guidlines:
-Email submissions to webmaster@colorado4wheel.com
-Include your Zcar.com username, and your first name.
-Submissions are open untill 12am thursday night. After that I will put up a pole for each car submitted. Voting is open for one week. After which the winner gets featured.
-Open to all Datsun and Nissans. So if you have a 510 or 1600 go ahead and submit it too.
-You have to tell your story behind it, and not just a paragraph about it. I know it takes 5 mins to write a paragraph about the history, but it only takes 30 secs to read that paragraph. Tell us the first time you were interested in a Zcar, even if it was that you got hit by a 240z while riding your bike when you were 8. Tell us, we want to know.
-Include a pertinent mod list. Ie we dont want to know about every single little thing done to your car, replacing your injector screws with allen headed screws would be an example, we dont need to know that. Simply list your basic mods, JWT ecu, HKS exhaust...etc.
-We want to see pictures. Camera phone pictures will work, however its unlikely that people will vote if your pictures are horrible. The minimum number of pictures is 4. 1/2 profile pictures are required. Take one from each corner of your car. The maximum number of pictures is 8. If you take an enterior picture keep in mind that we can see much more of the enterior if the picture is taken from the passenger side. No picture may exceed 100k. No Pictures may exceed 800x600.
-Images may be linked or directly submitted via email.
This would be a good example of the type of pictures for submission, one picture from each corner of the car, and one taken of the interior from the passenger side. The size is also perfect. 800x600, and the largest size is 94kb.

Here are some hints on how to photograph your car.
#1. Don't shoot in bright sunlight.
wait for a big cloud or shoot in completely even shade.
#2. CLEAN BACKROUND.
find a place where there is nothing or very little to distract the viewer.
especially leave out other cars, signs, people, etc.
#3. Be consistent.
shoot level with the car and at 45 degree angles.
if your first shot was ten feet , continue shooting at that distance all around.
Most of all, have fun.
