last weekend i tried to do a burn out and ended up only smoking clutch. the clutch works good for mild driving but qwivers under pressure.who has had good luck with what clutches other that stock?

i've been using a centerforce dual friction....and it's held up great....4-5k rpm clutch drops and the tires just smoke....others will say CF clutches are junk...others never have a problem.

ive got centerforce II...
its just as MSA advertises it...
stiffer pedal, really nice feel...
grabs and goes with a fully loaded car dropping at 5K..just spins the tires...
some say hit or miss--i guess bama and i hit?

id go XTD!!! cheap ( 180 usd of ebay!! ) and they work wonders .. hold up to 300 at the wheels proven.. stand abuse .. they are bang for the buck not buck for the name

I'm one who had issues with centerforce, the Df model ate the lining off the disc face, pressure plate side in about 8k miles or so, it was down to the rivets, although the clutch was still working great, zero slip, and I beat on it pretty hard. I blew up the trans in a big way, or I wouldn't have found it for who knows how long... I also just blew up another B box, pulled the trans to fix a very minor leaking front seal, and found a bunch of gear teeth on the magnetic drain plug, I haven't split the case yet to see how bad it is, but I'm done with the early manuals, maybe an SX C box???
