ALOHA guys! It's been a long time since I have posted in here. A lot of things has happened since then but things are wonderful in Hawaii. It rains here alot, gas is expensive and I've only seen two other 280zx's, one 240z, a couple of 300zx's and some 350z's...but other than that, my family and I have adapted nicely to the change. I see some familiar names and I'm glad to see you guys are still alive and kicking. Lots of plans for the Z for the next year or two. As we all know, the project never ends...maybe some delays, but it never ends :) Anyway, just wanted to say "Howzit" and here's a few new pics from the Islands.

Hey RatedZ, good to hear from you! How's your kid doing? Looks like the car is doing great as always! Yeah there should be a couple Zs around there. Do a search for solo 2 in your area, there should be a bad 240 driven by father and daughter. They were instructors at the MSA events for several years in a row.
Glad you stopped by.

Good job representing the islands! Nice car.
1972 240z w/L28, tokico shocks and springs, and a 5 speed waiting. Also running high performance ultra mega blinker fluid, that's at least an extra 50hp to the wheels.

ALOHA everyone! Thank you for the warm welcome :) I love this community and the wealth of knowledge and friendly Z'ers is the reason I'm back...I'm sure those who have fell off for what ever reason will be back...they always do :)
The Z is running pretty well for being stored for almost over a year. She is still taking about 18psi...I have taken this car to it's limits as far as fuel management goes so before I can go further, I need to address the fuel system. I believe MegaSquirt is in order :) or at the very least, a set of SVO injectors (possibly a 7th injector), fuel rail and a rising rate fuel pressure regulator...WOW it's been a while since I talked shop lol...But for now, I'm just keeping her clean and in good running order. It's been great driving the Z around town as not too many locals have seen a Z with the look that my car has established over the years. I had a guy in Kona that thought it was a kit car lol and another guy in Hilo thought it was a Jaguar. I just smile and tell them it's a Datsun. I've missed being part of the community and being a Z pilot...and it shows when I’m piloting my Z. It just gives me joy in a level that only a fellow enthusiast could relate to.
As for my Son Makaili, he's 3 now and growing faster than I could have ever imagined. He's heart problems has become a thing of the past and we have enjoyed his personality since then. I know that prayers were a huge part in his recovery and I thank god and everyone who prayed for him as it was a VERY tough part in my life. We now have two girls also and the youngest (5months) was born here in Hilo. You can see a glimpse of her in one of the side shots with my wife. Anyway, it was great hearing from you guys. I will do my best to chime in when the time is appropriate and offer what experiences I've had to help other Z lovers. As they say here in Hawaii, much mahalos!
ps. Gregg! It’s so great to hear from you! How is Iris? I hope you guys are doing good. Please do not hesitate to email me at mikesdesign808@hotmail.com. We have ALOT to catch up on. I will also PM you. Till then, say hi to Iris for us.
pps. YEP those pictures where taken in Kona. As you can see, it was a beautiful day in paradise :)

wow, it's a small world.
Recognize this place? I think my red circle accurately indicates where your car was parked when you took the pictures? This picture is from this summer with my family (the three girls are my sisters).
I lived in Kona until I was about 7, then we moved here. My dad used to own the Kona Makai which is just down the street from where these pictures were taken.
I loved it down there, and it looks as if you do as well.
