ahh--picked it up for 1grand...dual down draft webers---runs QUIET as hell, no valve noise at all, kinda wierd?!?! not to much rust either just surface on the panels...
yes those are English 14'' Mini-lights....in really good shape just dirty...thats the first thing to clean up and go on eBay ;-)
yes, thats me hugging the car, and Mark staring at my rear-end.
it also came with a whale tale ;-) the MSA kit is going, the side skirts have to go to make way for a side-pipe downpipe...thats right, there is a MONSTER l28et in the works for this sucker...the turbo isnt going to be mounted where it normally is, nor in the back ;-) that should keep yall guessing.
ohh, and its a 73 260, with a vin number of KLS30002098

Nice find. The 260z only had two models here in the states, the 74 and the 74.5 years. I'm guessing the the vin number starts with an H and not a K.

VIN #s of 260s start with R not K not H. RLS30. Too bad someone had to ruin the early 260 with the bodykit :P But i'm sure you'll take care of it.
Don't you remember quiet valves are BAD? Search...they're sposed to be noisy. Anyhow, good luck on the l28et, they're fun as hell! Are you still going into the Marines? Are the Zs gonna just take a backseat for awhile? Keep us posted bro!

frank! hahaha...its going on the passenger side...we are making an exhaust system for it, and putting the turbo right above the oil filter...you will see ;-)
Will made his entire trubo system, so hes going to do a great job with this one.
yes the body kit is going! the whale tale is going on the back though, this is going to be a road atlanta car ;-)
i dont go for boot camp till this summer, so this is going to be a winter project along with will...and yes, you are right, it is RLS30... ;-)
its a SWEET car, but all the wiring is burned to a crisp!

we shall see....most people said what he did with the camero wouldnt work, and look at it now ;-)
all i know is that this thing is going to be custom, and run mean as hell--- i dont see anyproblem with running the turbo on the other side, other than its going to loose some of the heat being a little farther away...
we are going to use a set of headers and chop them up to get them all going in one 3 inch pipe either under the engine behind the back, and bolt the turbo on on the passenger side...it should be VERY interesting for a mock-up...
i can't wait to start...my first turbo motor! yea!

Pretty common really, makes for a nice clean install and keeps a LOT of heat off the intake. It's no worse than the turbo systems that replace the very rear muffler.
With the right turbo it will spool fast.

A accurate vlv. adj will fix the noise problem. The valves go tight over time, thus the need for proper, preventative and scheduled maintenance.
