Q:
I need the hanger that loops aorund the canister and then attaches to the rear peg. Does anyone know where i can find one without buying the whole exhuast system? I tried calling a local honda dealership and they said honda doesnt sell them separetly. Does anyone have any ideas on where i might be able to find one?

Try cycleforums.com and sportbikes.net. You are probably going to have to find a wrecked rc51 and get lucky, otherwise you may be able to find a similar aftermarket system which has a better chance of making the replacements.
Great bikes by the way. I'm looking for a RC or tl1000r right now.

ya both those Vtwin powered bikes are great.. I just bought a new gsx 1300R hayabusa... holy frick... just got over 1200kms on it and it's just starting to really come alive.. it's a whole different animal comepared to the GSX-R750 I traded in for it.
BTW I've heard Suzuki wants to up the power in the busa with a 1500CC engine, guess they don't want some junky kawasaki taking the bragging rights for fastest production motorcycle.

I'd take that junky kawi over the busa, but that's just me. I think 450lbs is the heaviest I'm going from now on, I ride 90% in downtown areas and the once in a while highway dash doesn't come often enough. You really feel that weight backing up into a parking spot on a slanted road. I'd love to have a busa for highway cruising.

How hard would it be for a small machine shop to make a new hanger. Might be pretty cheap and it would be nice and new.

its not your typical hanger. Its a clamp that goes around the canister and bolts onto the rear peg (which is really of no use because there is no rear seat for a passenger). Anyway, i found that 2 brothers sells them indiviualy so im going to see if those will fit. I hope they do, cause if they dont i have to buy a whole new canister from honda! F that!!

ya don't get me wrong the kawi looks like a great performer but the busa is so much prettier IMO.. and for a 500lb bike it's actually quite nimble in town.. I scraped the pegs once.. oops.. and highway is amazing.. I can't believe how well the bike cuts down the windshier... I can go up to about 150kph before I need to duck down. the only thing I'm not impressed with is how rattly the bike is... at a certain rpm it sounds like the front fairing is gonna fall off or something... I'll trace it down in the spring and fix it but right now I just love ridding a new fuel injected bike... it's the dark red and black one.. it was love at first sit (not a typo.. i liked the looks but when I sat on it I was sold.. took it home 3 days later)
