Q:
I know that an ad should be put in the classifieds section so I did so.
This is a post to let people know that it's finaly come down to the wire and the Z will belong someone else or parted so a little bit of her can belong to everyone.
I will be keeping the L28ET powered SX so I will still have an L28ET platform to mockup parts.
I will still be around off and on to post and help out the ppl who need it.

No joke and I'm not happy about it at all.
This does not change my love for Z's. If you search the archives you will see the post where I was thinking about parting the Z but now it's time to do something.

Well I don't drive the car, I need the driveway space, I can use the $$, I'm moving to another state very soon.
Southern Louisiana really has nothing for me. I will be moving on to a new life and other Nissans.

I hope you buy another Z shortly after you move Pallnet.
A:

we had our z up for sale this year but no one has any money to take it.
pretty much most people looking for older z's only wanna spend 4-5k or so on them. we did sell our engine though and then tried selling just the rolling chassis but no one wanted to spend miuch more than couple grand for the rolling chassis, so....now a supercharged LS1 is going in in its place, but we just couldnt get the car sold as a whole or just a rolling chassis after engine sold.
no big deal, have so many toys anyway we can have fun in other things in the meantime.
A:
If you have any chance of moving out of S. LA, go for it! If I lived there id sell whatever it took to get the hell out of there.

This is a sad day for the Z Car community. Pete, you are a big help to many people. Is there anything the community can do to help out?

Eastern NC is nice. We have 3 seasons and I've got an acre of land and a decent sized garage. Plenty of good hometown cooking around here too.

No offense Roman, but I wouldn't wish Michigan on my worst enemy. Other than the auto industry, there is no reason to live here. The roads suck, insurance is expensive, economy is terrible, and the people have crappy attitudes.
Good luck Pete, I hope you find a nice place to live and stay active here.

Have you seen where the auto industry is going.
THERE IS NO REASON TO LIVE HERE. Is what it boils down too.

brian-- why did you hype up the build of your 240, spend all that money on it, brag about it for a week, and then sell it???
i dont get why someone would build up a sweet car then sell it, unless they HAD too, like Pete---but brian! jeeze! was a low 12second NA 3.1 liter not enough???!?!?!?

If all goes well I will be in southern Alabama area. Not too far from the coast but far enough off the coast to where I don't have to worry about storm surges. Wigen and a few others might be upset that I'm gonna get rid of my Z but the SX is a newer platform and should be interesting. My GF is super cool about anything I want to do so having my cars was and will never be an issue. I'm very excited about relocating.

Bubble,
The 240z got built, raced and ran what we wanted it to run and now we are doing a different engine and such to it just for the hell of it (we also have much faster things we play with now so the Datsun isnt driven much (we play around with a Z06, Yamaha R1 and others) so we just juggle around what we wanna play with every few months.
so yea we got hyped, spent alot of $$ and now are doing something different with more $$. Why have 1 toy when you can have many if you have the $$$.

Hedonism at it's finest.
"we did sell our engine"
Why sell when you have $$$ and can have more fun destroying it and at the same time rubbing it in everyones face on this board?

why sell the engine? well when we take it out if we didnt sell it would just be tossed in the back of the garage. mine as well sell it to someone that will use as we arent gonna put it in another Z.
engines are like women. you use them for a year or so then move on to the next one.

How long have you lived in Reno, Comrad? I just left after 16 years within a couple of brief intermissions. Not my favorite place I've ever lived, but not bad at all. Get rid of the current local government and it could have potential. Clean up downtown and it could have even more. But yeah, there is definitely something to be said about a twentyfour hour town.
A:
Good luck in ALA Pete. I lived in Enterprise for a year when I was in the Army it was not to bad. Blue How do you Keep your Z from rusting away up in Canada. I lived in Minnesota growing up and car cancer from salt was bad.

I've been in Reno 4 years, the governement doesn't bother me enough to leave and they've been dumping money into cleaning up downtown and fixing up the roads. It's changed a lot in just the time I've been here. Personally I love it.
