The one in the background is a 1969 left hand drive, (LHD). Only nine were produced in LHD and this one is number six of nine. 18,000 original miles.
US spec single cam head made by Yamaha very similar to the Nissan LY head.

That is the same engine used the the Crown that year. The M-G heads were the Yamaha Designed heads, the SOHC heads like on the T and R series engines were used everywhere, with Yamaha supplying the DOHC technology.

The interesting thing on the '69 car with the SOHC is that the Toyota spec plate on the firewall of the vehicle, drivers side, shows the single stick head was supplied by Yamaha. Maybe some rework for this application?
