I'm unfamiliar with the Pull-A-Part, as I've only been to traditional junk yards. Therefore I have to ask this.
If you go to pullapart.com and click "Check Prices," it has a huge pricelist of different car parts, where it states that V8 engines are $129.26. But at the top it states that this is a representative sample.
So Pull-A-Part regulars, tell me, is that price WAY too low? I'm going to be pulling some engines tomorrow if it's really $130, or close to it.

They are going to charge you $130 for the engine (+ maybe a core charge, but I didn't see mention of the core charge.) The representative sample means that they can't possibly list ALL the parts that they sell, so they listed some of the more common ones.

they will nickle and dime the **** out of you on EVERY part that botls to the motor. they have a seperate charge for the intake and exhaust, rocker covers, water pump brackets etc etc. at least thats how ecology operates.

1980 280zx with a mildly ported N47 maxima head, 60mm TB, -C- stamp 256 degree camshaft, and a 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust. yeah, its quick, and yeah, its a 2+2. NOW with MSandS_E power!

ya mcadams got it - if you go pull a v8 with just crank pistions and rods - it will probably be 130 + a core but then you get the crank pully add another 30 get the heads add another 130 water pump add another 30 get a bracket for nothing add another 20 - is there a pice of rubber on there add another 10 is that a bolt add another 10 so on and so on

the one down here charges $163 flat for COMPLETE RUNNING engines, accessories and all.
so it's not that far-fetched.
unless you're in kalifornia.
