Q:
Just stripped a Purgeot down for cash today bought the car for $40 and made $260 in one day just from the scrap metal.
Who would've known that everything was alloy, including the block!
Removed the whole wiring loom, burnt the rubber off it and got $40 just for that.
That's a good days worth, I'll be drinking easy this weekend knowing the car went to a good cause. My alcohol fund :)

You "made" $260, so you got $300 for it at the scrap yard (-$40 cost of the car)? And was the $40 from the wiring harness included in the $260 or not?
How much did you actually profit?

For $260 bucks it wouldnt be worth it to me for the work and time involved.

$220 profit in one day, that's worth the time and effort for some. About 4 hours mostly rugid work. Plus we even towed the car to the local scrap metals and got $20 MTA vouchers. Pity the rims were'nt alloy.
What a fun days work. Sledge hammered the **** out of it!
The copper wire we got $6 a kilo so don't forget to strip the wiring harness when throwing cars away, and burn the rubber **** off it. The alloy was $2 a kilo.
