Ugh! Well I convinced myself I wanted to go red, then I thought silver, then a red and silver combo of some sort, then settled on a nice deep red...Well I already repainted my engine bay with products from Eastwood in black, thought I could get a nice durable color thruout while also protecting myself from rust in the future. Iono figured the engine bay didnt matter much, just wanted it cleaned up and wanted a headstart on my project before I actually got into bodywork. I finished my entire front end suspension also done in black and think it looks pretty sharp. Today I started on the rear, and I really havent gone thru the interior much so decided Ill pull some carpeting in the back and store it for later. Well I couldnt believe how remarkebly crisp all the original orange was back there. The spare tire compartment looks as fresh as it prolly was from day one. I find myself really liking that orange!!! Kicking myself in the butt cause the engine bay orange was pretty sharp and not bad at all to start with, and now Im realizing how much easier it would of been for me to go with the exterior the original color while saving me some repainting of the interior. I know, I know, always think things thru, and perhaps maybe this long boring read cant convince at least one person to do the right thing!

Not a lot of harm really. You probably cleaned up the engine bay a decent bit, maybe to were new paint would stick smoothly.
So just have it all sprayed back in the orange, even in the rear cause it won't match what's there.

Leave the engine bay black and spray the rest of the car orange again.

Vw/audi has , IMHO, a very nice deep red going on these days. Plus I just saw a grabber eletric green VW bug (new). It would be perfect for the Kawasaki green & black look. Again imho
