240zcar: WHO THE f CARES IF ITS ALL TYPED IN CAPS? IS THERE SOME f-ING LAW THAT REQUIRES THAT?
Actually, if you refer to the posting guidelines, I believe there is a pretty specific rule about posting in caps...Rule 9, to be exact, a I quote:
9. Please do not post messages/topics in ALL CAPS. Messages/topics posted in ALL CAPS may be edited, or deleted, at the discretion of the moderators.
fyi for future reference.
Now, to answer the original question of the post, it will definitely be in your manual. If you don't have a manual, check online as this seems like pretty common information. If you can't find it there, I owned a 1997 Honda Accord and it took 4.5 quarts.
From Autozone website: Oil (Crankcase) Capacity 4 2/5 Quarts Including filter - plus I am guessing a .5 Quart in the filter.
Previously owned: 2005 Z Enthusiast, Super Black, 6 spd.
Currently lease: 2006 Pathfinder S, Silver, Auto

Don't apoligize to these pompus boobs over a simple mis-step, or your choice of daily drivers. I would buy an 03 Honda if I had the money, because it is one of the very best available.
I would put 4 quarts and a filter in the car, start it and run for a minute to get the filter filled, shut it off, and check the level. Add more oil as needed, and write down your findings for future oil changes.
A:
WOW, IMAGINE THAT A RULE FOR NOT TYPING ALL IN CAPs.<----not a cap

Put oil in the filter before you install it. The oil will not spill out.

In 25 years of driving/maintaining, I have never put oil in the filter prior to installing, and never had a problem.
